I use the applesauce cups and Gerber baby plastic food containers to start our seeds at the daycare. Thanks for the information. We planted turnip seeds 3 weeks ago and they are growing like ‘happy seedlings’

Gorgeous illustrations! I’ve tried to work on developing a green thumb lately. Was encouraged by this blog to grow my own food for all sorts of awesome health reasons: http://68anda6pack.com/ . Aside from a vegetable garden your illustration here has curiously given me some inspiration to start my own herb garden, too! One with cilantro, basil and parsley would be my dream.

The green areas don’t (usually) get any frost. There are year round growing seasons there, but you’ll have to consult your local almanac!

This is helpful I was thinking of growing some plants on my balcony at my apartment. It is kind of shaded, would that cause serious problems?
