Beautiful illustrations! We usually eat the whole ripe persimmon raw. It’s delicious! Have you noticed how when it’s really ripe (or a little frostbitten on the way home from the market) the skin turns almost translucent? Amazing fruit…

I love Persimmons! Fuyu is the kind my family and I get every fall/ winter and we eat them like apples. I leave the peel on cause I like the extra crunch. Thanks for this post! Glad there are others who know and love Persimmons.
