This is such an aesthetic and pleasing look at the subject of edible flowers. Far more so than the one I wrote a while back (http://mycookinglife.com/2012/03/03/please-dont-eat-the-hyacinths-but-its-okay-to-drink-the-dandelions/). I just had to re-blog . And man! I wish I could draw and paint all my graphics. I tried it once when I wrote about the super hero, Coffee Man, (http://mycookinglife.com/2012/05/23/coffee-man-sigh-my-hero/). Well now that I’ve totally taken Illustrated Bites’ lovely post and used it to suggest you read more of mine, I guess I should just let you see this wonderful “Guide to Edible Flowers.”

Beautiful! I have fond memories of picking Illinois violets and biting the little bulb on the back. The nectar inside was exactly what you think flower nectar would taste like… sweet and light.

Delightful!! Beautiful graphic….one of my favourite recipes is stuffed courgette (zucchini) flowers. As it’s almost impossible to buy the flowers here (in the UK) I grow them in my garden.
